Attorney Constance R. Sherrod is a licensed attorney who has been serving clients in the greater Chicagoland area since 2007. Attorney Sherrod focuses her practice on real estate transactions and estate planning. Through her real estate practice, she represents both buyers and sellers and helps them address different aspects of the ever-changing real estate market. Attorney Sherrod walks her clients through the process of a real estate transaction to ensure they have a full understanding of their rights an options. Her clients continue to come back year after year, receiving the same excellent service in each transaction.

Attorney Sherrod graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina Central University, where she was a scholar athlete and member of the women’s basketball team. Prior to transferring to North Carolina Central University, Ms. Sherrod attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she was member of the women’s basketball team and also a member of the 1999 National Championship Team. In 2022, she was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the 2022 Silver Anniversary Team.

After graduating from North Carolina Central University, attorney Sherrod attended DePaul University College of Law. While attending DePaul, she was a member of the Black Law Student’s Association and participated in the Fredrick Douglass Moot Court Competition. She has been admitted to the Illinois Supreme Court, has a license to practice law in Illinois, and has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is also a licensed Illinois title agent for the following title agencies: First American, Citywide Title, and Stewart Title.

Attorney Sherrod has a passion for working with seniors. She worked as a volunteer attorney for several years with the Cook County Elder Justice Center. She is also a member of the board of trustees for the Kennedy-Jordan Manor, a senior living facility located on the far south side of Chicago. She frequently hosts seminars on estate planning for seniors at local churches and via Zoom.

When she is not in the office, Ms. Sherrod is usually spending time with her husband and two young children. She enjoys watching sporting events on television and live. In the summers, she enjoys hanging out on the lake and attending the many Chicago neighborhood festivals with her family. For 15 years, she volunteered as a basketball coach for middle school girls with the not-for-profit Fellowship of African American Men (F.A.A.M.) in Evanston, Illinois.
